Have you thought about doing a 12th Doctor series?
From Thomas Walker

Hey James, your FA's are great. I would just like to ask you how your dalek voices are made? I'm thinking of making a channel to show some of my FA's too. I've been making them for over two years now. What do you think I should do?
From Harris Wilson
Thank you and Unfortunately I do not make the Dalek voices in my Series, they are all done by a mate of mine, However I know he uses Audacity and the Killerringer plugin to create Dalek and Cybermen voices :) and yeah definitely make a channel to allow others to see your work!

Do you always have to go to your conservatory to film on the TARDIS set or do you bring it in the house?
From Tom Le
My conservatory is actually part of the house, we have an open plan kitchen which is part of the conservatory so it's in the house at all times :) I keep it there because it's the only place it currently fits, I am trying to sort it out to get it back into my bedroom at some point though :)

What Is Your Hardest Episode That You Have Ever Filmed?
From JC
Difficult Question there. I'd have to say that Time Dilemma was a Long and Different Process compared to my Others - Code of the Legend was probably the Longest I've spent on an Episode and had a lot of complicated things such as Filming in Central London. But Most of them aren't too Difficult - when I write them I try to keep things realistic as I know what I can do, so Limits aren't normally Pushed that much :)

Why are you stopping FA in 2015?
From Sherlock Genius
2015 Is the Cut off because I cannot definitely do episodes on a regular basis after September 2015 - So for now that is when I stop - However If I find time I will one-off's and Specials. Things may also change and I could find time for another Short Series, but for now 2015 is the Cut off for Regular Episodes :)

Out Of 10 What would You Give Your FA?
From JC
Honestly i'd say i'm between 4-7 - I'm definitely not the best and it depends which Episode, some are better than others so personally i'd say between 4-7 because there is always room for improvement :)

Why did you use the trickster as the series 3 villian?
From Joe Brown
Hello, I decided to use the Trickster as a Series 3 Villain because the plan for this Series was to do un-used or rarely used Monsters such as the Werewolf and the Racnoss and i wanted to do a Time damaging story which then became a Series Arc that the Trickster saved this new Companion from her death but there would be consequences, it was different and i really enjoyed doing it. As you can see the First and Last Episodes are linked heavily in what happens, Jess' Death and the Trickster. I haven't really seen many or anyone actually tackle the Trickster in FA before and seeing as we probably won't see him again on TV I thought maybe it was time someone brought him back :D

Have you got any ideas what you might do after 2013 or do you not think that far ahead?
By TheGreenfield1000
Yes i have already planned out what i will do after my 50th Anniversary, I do think extremely far ahead in advance as i've been Planning and leaving a Story Arc from 2011 for my 50th, so 2 Years it's been leading up to it. All my Plans for Christmas 2013 and 2014 will be revealed on 24th November 2013 the day after my 50th Anniversary Episode because the ending to my 50th will be a shocker (before anyone asks i'm not doing the 12th Doctor so its not that) and so everything will be revealed then, but for now i'm keeping my lips sealed!

Hi DWtODWFA, Roughly how long does it take to write, plan, film, edit and upload your films? Thankyou!!
From Rhys Harrocks
Hello :D I have Subbed back! On Average it takes me about 2-4 weeks to Plan and Write each Episode, Filming can take from 2 days till 2 weeks dependent on the Episode. Editing normally takes about a week if i'm not busy with other projects. A 15 minute Episode takes about an Hour and 15 minutes to Render as one File and then 20-40 Minutes to Upload onto YouTube :D

when will you do DWFA Time Dilama is it in may i don't want you to rush it but it looks so good from the trailers you do, is your new companion Clara Oswald
From Riley Cole
The Time Dilemma will air on 25th May and nope i'm not rushing it! I'm close to the end of Filming for it and i've already started Editing it. My New Companion isn't Clara. The Time Dilemma (and Series 3) is set After The Angels Take Manhattan but Before the Snowmen, the Doctor still has the Pond Era Tardis until this Episode in which it changes. My New Companion, Jessica Bell, is a completely Separate character that i have invented myself and at the end of Series 3 is when the Doctor becomes sheltered and decides not to help anymore and leads into the Snowmen. The Series basically bridges the gap between Series 7 Part A and Series 7 Part B. Clara will be in an Episode later this year for the 50th Anniversary.

Hi DWTODWFA, just wondering, do you have to ask permission to use copyrighted music?
From CyberNestene
Well there isn't anyone to ask and no i don't, as you can see only a couple of my episodes have adverts or matched 3rd Party Content and i currently have no Copyright strikes and that's because i use Unreleased variations of Music not released on the Soundtrack, i don't use Soundtrack music ever.

How do you plan a series of DWFA? Do you start from scratch, not really knowing where it'll end up? Or when writing the first episode do you already have a vague idea on what kind of plot arcs and courses the series may take? Also, have you ever had a situation where you've had to cancel an episode during production for, I dunno, delays, too complicated a plot, etc?
From Sam Durneen
I actually start with the ideas, if i have enough then i'd make a Series and what i'd do is make sure i have about 10 strong ideas, i'd plan in what order they will be, normally the strongest or most adventuress would become the Final or a two Parter. I do always make sure i know what goes on throughout each Episode, such as Story Arcs i've been doing one set over more than one Series and i purposely planned it to be in my 2013 Film and i came up with the Idea back in 2011 so 2 Years it's been dropped into my Series but i can't say what it will lead to. I plan every detail so hardly anything goes wrong although yes i have had to postpone Episodes or an entire Series, twice i've postponed a Series, Series 2 was postponed due to the lack of Episodes i had completed in time so i moved it back to finish on 1st Jan 2012. Series X was Postponed twice, First as SpiderDalek94's Computer crashed meaning he had lost about 2 or 3 Episodes and couldn't get them back (all clips he had sent me that survived were used in the Final just as a little nod to those Lost Episodes) so we decided to get it out by the end of the Year that we'd have to shorten it down to become Series X, the 2nd Postpone was because his Computer crashed yet again and while i was on Holiday my villa got broken into meaning my Camera was stolen which meant i couldn't finish any of my Episodes until i managed to get a new Camera, luckily i did get one and the series went out finally how it was planned. And no i haven't had to cancel an Episode due to a too complicated plot or delay, i'd only postpone.

How long did it take to write Series X Episode 5 with SpiderDalek?
From Jacob Adams
Overall it was about a Month to write the Full Episode, we had to keep swapping the script with new parts added and removed but worth it in the end.

How do you make your stories so good?
From Connor Pullinger
Well its not simple, like i've said previously the way i do it is similar to the TV Show, First the Idea. You need a good Strong Idea (where i get inspiration is answered below). Once you have that, its time to Write the Script. I use Microsoft Word and most of my Scripts end up being 5-9 Pages long of Speech and stage directions which help me Film. Once the Script is Finished then its time to Film. Get all the Figures you need, Sets i either make myself (such as my Tardis) or get off Actionfiguretheatre which has loads of sets for FA! Then using the Script, Film your Episode. It's good to shoot at different angles, get the best shot available, makes the Final Episode more professional. Video filming is a good idea but try to keep you hands out of the shots, Stop Motion is useful but again keep you hands out of the shot! Once you have the Filming complete then dependant on if your voicing or using text then get the lines recorded if so. Now you should have what you need to start Editing, i personally use Sony Vegas Pro 9 and have done for about a Year, Good program but it costs. Edit your Episode together and add the Music and whatever else and you have yourself a Episode of FA!!

What Is your Favourite Episode that you have made so far?
From Joe O'Halloran
My Favourite Episode that i've enjoyed making would be Preservation of the Daleks which was a joint effort between my and SpiderDalek94, it was enjoyable to make because i got to use All My Daleks in it, i bought spare 2005 Daleks that i Burnt or broke for the Episode which i still have! The Effects were fun, the whole Episode was a big leap forward for me and Spiderdalek94, something we've never done before and it worked. But in 2011 i had 2 Favourites, 2.6: Army Onboard as its my most Popular Episode and was my First to have Voices in any of my Videos and My Series Two Final - 2.8, 2.9 and 2.10 as that was the biggest Final i'd done so far and was just so much fun, it was the biggest leap i've done in FA since i Started!

I got a couple of things to ask and tell you so here I go...
1.Where do you get your SF (Sound Effects)from?
2.Also how do you make em so good and add effects?
3. Please could you watch mine on superdrwhoadventures channel
4.I will keep watching yours
5.Whats the secret in making them?
6. Anymore stuff I need to know then please tell me. P.s your channel and videos are amence!
From Elliot (superdrwhoadventures)
I'll try to answer everything i can:
1. Sound Effects are normally Ripped off an Episode, you could try looking for Unscored Audio from Series 1-6 on Youtube and most of the SFX is located in those Episodes, just edit them out and you have them.

3: Sure i try to keep up with all my Subscribers and their work!
4: Thank you, i hope you enjoy them.
5: Mostly listed above but i forgot to mention that Video effects such as Explosions and bangs are off a Website called Detonation Films, very useful, other Effects are done using Sony Vegas but there is no secret, just keep at it, it's taken me 2 Years to get here and i hope to continue! Best advice is not to Rush anything, otherwise it could turn out bad, although it can be boring when doing certain parts, its worth it in the end, i've spent a whole 5 Months working on a Tardis Set and 2 Months working on a Episode before, turns out its my most watched FA Ever!

How Long Does it take to add Text or Voices?
From William Hay
It takes the same amount of time for the whole video Really. I add the Voices/Text when Editing a scene, so it'll be the Text and Voices first, i then add the pictures/shots to fit with them, moving the text/voices if i need to. Then i add the Music and SFX and whatever else i need to include.

Where do you get inspiration for you're stories?
From Justjeulin
Well where does anyone get there ideas, for me i look for inspiration from random things i see everyday but mostly i look up history and unexplained happenings, for example episode 5 and 6 were inspired when i read up into the history of Lost NASA probes and they lost one called the Mars Global Surveyor Spacecraft in 2006 which i used to get Weeping Angels into my Series, I won't tell you what happens but the Final is partly inspired by something that could happen.

How long does it take to make a Episode of DWFA? -24th January 2011
From James Smith
Well the amount of time can vary depending if it has more talking than action and mainly it all comes back to the Script which can take from 1 day to 2 weeks to complete and then it goes straight to filming which is a simple but sometimes difficult task which can take from 1-5 days depending on the shots and distractions like school work can slow the whole process to a standstill even before editing has begun. Editing normally takes about 3-6 days to get the SFX, Music and Stop-motion as good as i can get in a short time and sometimes less pictures than needed. Music is probably the most difficult thing about make an Episode because of Copyright appearing after you have rendered the Video about 4 times but mostly i haven't had any problems with Series One so Far.
Basically:
Script: Hard but worth it in the end
Filming: simple task - read over the script to confirm the dialogue/events, and take appropriate shots to coincide with these.
Editing: takes a lot longer - it's still a straightforward task but more aspects are included (dialogue, stop motion, FX, music and so on). Sometimes, technical faults can occur (but luckily rarely happen) which can also delay the time
Rendering: in Sony Vegas is a lengthy process to confirm the best quality possible. Blimey, it's a hard job!
